PlayStation 5 is exceptionally quiet, according to reporters who were able to experience a hands-on preview with the PS5 in Japan this weekend. The reports come from Japanese publications 4Gamer and Dengeki, both of whom praised the lack of noise from the PlayStation 5.

Dengeki called the system “exceptionally quiet”, and say that “the quietness of the fans was more impressive”

4Gamers, meanwhile, reports playing godfall for some time on the console, before noting that “the breeze coming from the exhaust port was gentle and didn’t feel exceedingly hot”.

It takes over an hour of gameplay to start hearing the console’s fan. The PlayStation 5 is scheduled to launch this November, with a staggered schedule around the world.

Price, Pre-order, and Release Date

So, it finally happened, the PlayStation 5 price and release date has been unveiled at the latest PS5 Showcase event. The PS5 officially costs $499 / £449 / €499. AU$749.95. While the PS5 Digital Edition costs $399 / £349 / €399. AU$599.95.

The release date is now confirmed as November 12 in the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and Mexico, and New Zealand. It will be released to the rest of the world on November 19, 2020.
