Lady Gaga Early Life and Career
Germanotta was born on March 28, 1986, in Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, New York, into an Italian American family. Her parents are Cynthia Louise, a philanthropist and business executive, and Joseph Germanotta, an internet entrepreneur.
Throughout her childhood, she took piano lessons which taught her to create music by ear, rather than reading sheet music. As a teenager, Gaga played at Open mic nights, played the lead roles of Adelaide in the play Guys and Dolls. At Regis High School, she played in the play A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Lady Gaga attended an all-girls school Roman Catholic school, the Convent of the Sacred Heart, in Manhattan. Then she attended Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where she studied music for two years. She improved her songwriting skills by writing essays on social issues, politics, religion, and art.
At the age of 20, she started work on Interscope Records as a songwriter for other artists n the label, including new Kids on the Block, Britney Spears, and therefore the Pussycat Dolls.
Through 2007 and 2008 Alkon signed her, and she wrote and recorded her debut album, The Fame.
Her record received positive reviews and was successful within the US. With the assistance of her own creative team, “Haus of Gaga,” the performer also began to form a reputation for herself internationally.
